1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using AEVUM, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

AEVUM is a publishing platform for finished works, designed to support long-form knowledge sharing after publication. It provides stable, shareable links for books, essays, research papers, and creative projects. Published works are intended to be complete and stable rather than continuously revised.

AEVUM is not designed for iterative or ongoing publishing workflows; instead, it facilitates reading, reference, and durable sharing.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep this information up to date.

4. Content Ownership, Licenses, and Responsibility

4.1. Ownership

You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the content you upload (“Your Content”).

4.2. License to AEVUM

By publishing your work, you grant AEVUM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your work solely to provide the Service.

4.3. Responsibility & Views

Published content represents only the views of the individual account owner or publisher. AEVUM does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the content or for any outcomes arising from its use.

4.4. Copyright & Intellectual Property Warranties

By uploading or publishing content you represent and warrant that:

• you are the owner or have all rights, permissions, and licenses necessary to publish the work;
• the work does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and
• to your knowledge the content complies with applicable laws.

You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless AEVUM against any copyright or IP claims arising from your content.

5. Storage and Fair Use

Each plan includes a recommended (soft) storage allowance for intentional publishing.

Storage Allowances

• Preview account: 0.5 GB
• Starter: 2 GB
• Standard: 10 GB
• Premium: 25 GB

You will receive notifications as you approach your allowance (e.g., at 80% and 95%). These are informational and do not affect your ability to access existing content.

If you significantly exceed your recommended storage allowance, publishing new works may be temporarily paused, but existing published works remain accessible.

You may upgrade your plan or manage your content (for example, by replacing or deleting works) to align with storage usage.

In special circumstances, if you require additional storage beyond the allowances listed above, you may contact us to discuss available options.

6. Billing and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel anytime in account settings.

Upon cancellation, your account reverts to a Preview account at the end of the current billing period, subject to Preview plan limits.

No refunds are provided for partial months of service.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree you will not use the Service to:

• upload, publish, or distribute material that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or discriminatory;
• upload, publish, or distribute material that infringes or violates copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights;
• upload malware, viruses, or malicious code;
• harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, or advocate discrimination against individuals or groups on any protected basis (e.g., race, religion, gender, sexual orientation);
• impersonate others or misrepresent your identity;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the AEVUM platform or other users’ accounts;
• engage in activities that degrade the experience or integrity of the Service.

AEVUM reserves the right to remove or disable access to content that violates these terms or applicable law.

8. Acceptable Use Policy and Enforcement

AEVUM maintains an acceptable use policy to ensure responsible use of the platform. Violation of this policy may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of your account at our discretion.

AEVUM may, but is not obligated to, remove or refuse to publish any content that we determine is objectionable or violates these Terms.

9. Service Modifications

AEVUM may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of significant changes.

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

AEVUM may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or conduct harmful to the Service or other users.

Where reasonably possible, notice will be provided before suspension or termination.

Upon account deletion, your data will be removed unless otherwise required by law. Deleted content may not be recoverable.

11. Disclaimers

AEVUM is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AEVUM, its affiliates, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless AEVUM and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

• your use of the Service;
• your content;
• violation of these Terms; or
• claims by third parties.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of AEVUM after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
