1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using AEVUM, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

These Terms include and incorporate AEVUM’s Acceptable Use Policy and Copyright & Takedown Policy. By creating an account or using AEVUM, you agree to comply with these Terms, including those incorporated policies.

2. Service Description

AEVUM is a publishing platform for finished works, designed to support long-form knowledge sharing after publication. It provides stable, shareable links for books, essays, research papers, and creative projects. Published works are intended to be complete and stable rather than continuously revised.

AEVUM is not designed for iterative or ongoing publishing workflows; instead, it facilitates reading, reference, durable sharing, and embedded viewing experiences for published works.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep this information up to date.

AEVUM is intended for adults aged 18 and over only. By creating an account or using AEVUM, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. AEVUM may suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.

4. Content Ownership, Licenses, and Responsibility

4.1. Ownership

You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the content you upload (“Your Content”).

4.2. License to AEVUM

By uploading, storing, or publishing Your Content, you grant AEVUM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, distribute, convert, render, generate previews or derivatives from, and otherwise process Your Content solely as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, improve, and support the Service.

This license includes the right for AEVUM to use trusted service providers acting on its behalf for hosting, storage, security, document rendering, preview generation, embedded viewing, analytics, and related operational functions, solely to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the Service.

4.3. Responsibility & Views

Published content represents only the views of the individual account owner or publisher. AEVUM does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the content or for any outcomes arising from its use.

4.4. Copyright & Intellectual Property Warranties

By uploading or publishing content you represent and warrant that:

• you are the owner or have all rights, permissions, and licenses necessary to upload, publish, process, render, display, and distribute the work through AEVUM and its service providers;
• the work does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights;
• to your knowledge the content complies with applicable laws; and
• where the work includes personal information or confidential material relating to other people, you have the necessary authority and lawful basis to submit that material for the uses contemplated by the Service.

You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless AEVUM against any copyright, IP, privacy, confidentiality, or related claims arising from your content.

5. Storage and Fair Use

Each plan includes a storage allowance for intentional publishing.

Plan limits, usage allowances, file-size limits, page limits, storage limits, and fair-use thresholds may be adjusted by AEVUM from time to time.

Plan Allowances

• Free: up to 3 active hosted flipbooks, 1 draft, 1 archived work, 15 pages per file, 50 MB per file, and 150 MB storage
• Starter: up to 6 active hosted flipbooks, 6 drafts, 6 archived works, 50 pages per file, 100 MB per file, and 1 GB storage
• Standard: up to 20 active hosted flipbooks, 20 drafts, 20 archived works, 150 pages per file, 250 MB per file, and 2.5 GB storage
• Premium: up to 50 active hosted flipbooks, 50 drafts, 50 archived works, 1000 pages per file, 500 MB per file, and 5 GB storage

Storage Allowances

• Free: 150 MB
• Starter: 1 GB
• Standard: 2.5 GB
• Premium: 5 GB

You will receive in-app warnings as you approach your storage allowance (for example, around 85% and 95% usage).

Existing files remain available when usage goes above your storage allowance, but new uploads are limited and can be blocked.

Uploads are blocked once storage reaches 120% of the plan allowance, or where a new upload would push usage above that threshold.

In special circumstances, if you require additional storage beyond the allowances listed above, you may contact us to discuss available options.

6. Billing and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly depending on the billing interval selected at checkout, where available. You may cancel anytime in account settings.

Upgrades apply immediately after confirmation. Downgrades and cancellations apply from your next billing cycle. Existing files remain available after plan changes, though new uploads, publishing, restoring, or archiving may be limited if usage is above your current plan.

No refunds are provided for partial months of service.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree you will not use the Service to:

• upload, publish, or distribute material that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or discriminatory;
• upload, publish, or distribute material that infringes or violates copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, confidentiality obligations, or other rights;
• upload malware, viruses, or malicious code;
• harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, or advocate discrimination against individuals or groups on any protected basis (e.g., race, religion, gender, sexual orientation);
• impersonate others or misrepresent your identity;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the AEVUM platform or other users’ accounts;
• engage in activities that degrade the experience or integrity of the Service; or
• use AEVUM to upload or distribute highly sensitive regulated records, identity documents, medical records, payroll data, or other confidential material where you do not have a clear right and lawful basis to submit that material for service-provider processing.

AEVUM reserves the right to remove or disable access to content that violates these terms or applicable law.

8. Acceptable Use Policy and Enforcement

AEVUM maintains an acceptable use policy to ensure responsible use of the platform. Violation of this policy may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of your account at our discretion.

AEVUM may, but is not obligated to, remove or refuse to publish any content that we determine is objectionable or violates these Terms.

9. Service Modifications

AEVUM may modify, pause, suspend, restrict, replace, transfer, or discontinue the Service or any part of it where reasonably necessary. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of significant changes.

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

AEVUM may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or conduct harmful to the Service or other users.

AEVUM may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to some or all of the Service where we reasonably determine it is necessary due to non-payment, failed billing, security risk, legal compliance, abuse prevention, excessive operational burden, provider or infrastructure constraints, violation of these Terms, or conduct harmful to AEVUM, the Service, other users, or third parties.

Where reasonably possible, notice will be provided before suspension or termination.

Upon account deletion, your data will be removed unless otherwise required by law. Deleted content may not be recoverable.

11. Disclaimers

AEVUM is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service.

AEVUM does not guarantee the continued availability, formatting, rendering behaviour, or external service availability of any embedded reader, preview, or service-provider-delivered viewing experience.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AEVUM, its affiliates, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless AEVUM and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

• your use of the Service;
• your content;
• violation of these Terms; or
• claims by third parties.

14. Business Transfers and Assignment

AEVUM may assign, transfer, or delegate its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, sale of assets, financing, business transfer, change of control, or transfer of the Service to another operator.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without AEVUM’s prior written consent.

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of AEVUM after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
