Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Aevum

What is Aevum?

Aevum is a minimalist publishing system for finished works. It is designed for books, essays, research papers, and creative projects that are complete and ready to stand on their own.

How is this different from a blog or CMS?

Aevum is not designed for ongoing or iterative publishing. There are no feeds, no chronological posting, and no expectation of regular updates. Each work is presented as a finished piece, intended for stable reference rather than continuous revision.

Can I edit my work after publishing?

Published works are intended to be final and stable. If you need to make changes, you can archive the work and publish a revised version. The original link will continue to point to the original published version.

What file formats does Aevum support?

Aevum supports PDF files only. This ensures works are presented consistently across devices and preserves the integrity of the original layout.

What happens if I exceed my storage limit?

Each plan includes a storage allowance, plus a small buffer. Existing files remain available if you go over your allowance, but new uploads are blocked once storage reaches the buffer limit, or if a new file would push usage above it. You can delete files or upgrade your plan to continue uploading.

Can I download my published works?

You can read, manage, publish, unpublish, archive, or delete your works from your dashboard. Published works are viewed through Aevum’s reader experience.

What is Aria?

Aria is the creative stream behind the Gallery, designed for visual projects and series. Selected public Aria works appear in Selections alongside the Aevum Library.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel or downgrade at any time. Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades and cancellations apply from your next billing cycle, so your current plan limits remain available until then. Existing files remain available after your plan changes, but new uploads, publishing, restoring, or archiving may be limited if your usage is above the new plan limits.
